12 SENSES OF FIELDS

Based on the principle of senses of Rudolf Steiner, we propose 12 Fields to provide visitors with places of gaming, meeting and experiencing senses.

Installations at dominant heightsprovide various perspectives to view the skyline of the city connected with overviewed landscapes in the park, as well as feel the changes to their bodies by moving.

LOHAS
Path

In order to make the entire park suitable for different ages and different usage behaviors, and to achieve the goal of humanized use, four barrier-free LOHAS (healthy and sustainable lifestyle) paths have been established in the park. They are 2694 meters long leisure trails, 2621 meters long sports trails, 1943 meters long barrier-free trails and bike paths designed by cyclists. They are all connected to the academic green corridors of the cultural and educational areas on the east and west sides, providing the public with the best choice according to their needs.

    Recreation PathThis red concrete-paved path passes through many cooler parks in which people can rest and relax themselves any time.

    Sports PathThis path paved with elastic floor mats provides dryer environments, suitable for sports and fitness exercises.
  • Barrier-free Path
    Bicycle laneThe cycle path that surrounds the entire periphery of Central Park allows people to ride the wind to enjoy the panoramic view of the park.
    There is also a bicycle parking rack around. After parking the bicycle, slowly walk into the park and enjoy the leisure experience of the park and nature.

  • Barrier-free Path
    Barrier-free PathThis path of asphalt pavements provides barrier-free access and passes through a number of children's playgrounds. On either side of this path are planted more of the trees that can absorb fine suspended particles.
  • Recreation Path
    The Academic Green Corridor, which connects the east and west sides of the cultural and educational district, has one section within the Central Park. It is on this section that 155 Taiwan Cherry trees are planted as the main tree species, forming a wide pedestrian square full of cherry blossoms.

Tourist
services

The main administrative service unit in the park is the Management Center, while the Visitor Center mainly provides tourists with consultation and troubleshooting services.

In the park, there are 4 small wooden flower rooms, mainly serving as business spaces for selling souvenirs, simple foods, and cultural or art products.

Teaching
space

To promote education under the cooperation with schools, 4 green classrooms are set up in the park, which the academic units, community colleges and other civil societies can apply to use as a teaching space for their experiential courses in the study of the park’s plantations and micro-climate environments.

TOILET

To facilitate access to proper sanitation, nine toilets are set up and scattered around the park. All the toilets are built with metal formworks, dry compartments and lightweight steel structure to achieve the purpose of reducing construction waste.

Traffic
flow

In response to the goal of low-carbon cities, motor vehicles are prohibited from entering the park. Instead, people are encouraged to come here by mass transit systems as the main transportation mode.

We provide convenient and ecologically conscious transportation routes in the hope that we can achieve the goal of creating a peaceful and comfortable environment.

There are three parking lots attached to the vast park: Central Park North Parking Lot (Huanzhong Road), Central Park South Parking Lot (Henan Road), Central Park Underground Parking Lot (Jingmao Road)-all of the three major parking lots have several barrier-free parking spaces to provide the public with perfection Parking space. And intelligently integrate and manage parking control, parking information, and toll management in the parking area through the parking management system. In addition, there are 2 public parking lots (Jingmao Road & Dapeng Road intersection; Jingmao Road & Zhongping Road Henan Road) and 2 private parking lots (Henan Road & Fengda Road; Dapeng Road & Fengda Road) around the Central Park.

Taichung Central Park

Covering an area of about 67.34 hectares within the Shueinan Economic and Trade Park and reputed as the lungs of Taichung, the Taichung Central Park is a gigantic park designed based on the three principles of "smartness," "low carbon," and "innovation." Installed with 12 world-leading sensory interactive facilities, the park is very different from any ordinary parks. The vast park area is planted with many green trees to present different landscapes. There are more than 10,000 trees in 106 species, of which 83% are native, making the park an urban oasis that is diverse and suitable for biological habitats. In the morning, you can run through the undulating terrain; in the afternoon, you can stroll in the shade under the gentle sunbeams passing through the trees; at dusk, you can climb to the self-experience zone at the uppermost point of the park to enjoy the sunset; at night, you can explore the mysterious forest ecology under the twinkling lights. You are welcome to enjoy the extraordinary, poetic, and playful sensory experiences.
